The Columbus Bonsai Society meets monthly at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Meetings are open to any one interested and are normally held on the third Sunday of the month in a ground floor class room or a main floor exhibit room near the reception desk. Meetings run from 2:00 to 4:00 with a short business session and then a talk or educational program for the remainder of the meeting. Programs run from foundation concepts such as soil and basic shaping to style refinement and advanced techniques for carving jinn and shari. There are always members available to help with questions at all skill levels.
The Columbus Bonsai Society is a non-profit group dedicated to education about bonsai and related arts. This includes the artistic aspects of the hobby and also the horticultural aspects of keeping healthy thriving trees in small containers.
Our next activity is our June show (June 19-20). There will be Exhibits open all day and beginners workshops Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Franklin Park Conservatory is located at 1777 E. Broad Street, just west of Nelson Rd. Easy access is by taking Broad Street east from I-71.
